Service Charges
- A minimum two-hour service fee is charged, unless otherwise specified
- After the second hour, services are charged in 15-minute increments
- Each hour of service is charged at the rate applicable for scheduled time of service

Care Management
The 20% Case Management Fee is subject to Direct Care Australia’s Fair Use Guidelines which are outlined in the hours below and includes:
- Reviewing Home care agreement and care plan to ensure all services, including third-party, aligns with all other supports
- Partnering with care recipient and their family about all aspects of care provision
- Clinical governance
- Ensuring services are culturally safe
- Identifying and addressing risks to the care recipient’s safety, health and wellbeing
Monthly Statements
- Your Home Care Package Case Manager will confirm all in-home services and brokered services, such as gardening, allied health or meal services each month.
- A monthly statement will be sent to you and/or your nominated representative no later than 20th of each month.
Care Management Charge & Hours
Where a client exceeds their allocated number of case management hours for 3 months in a 12-month period, Direct Care Australia reserve the right to charge an additional 5% to the package.
- Level 1: $79.01 per fortnight & up to 1 hour of Care Management monthly
- Level 2: $138.95 per fortnight & up to 2 hours of Care Management monthly
- Level 3: $302.39 per fortnight & up to 4 hours of Care Management monthly
- Level 4: $458.41 per fortnight & up to 6 hours of Care Management monthly
Cancellation / Reschedule Fee
- There is no cancellation fee for services cancelled or rescheduled at least 7 days prior to the commencement of the scheduled shift.
- Where a shift is cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice and more than 48 hours notice, the shift will be charged at 50% the whole shift (min. 2 hours)
- Where a cancellation/deferral is made up to 48 hours before the scheduled commencement of the shift it will need to be paid for in full.
